I admit I was very harsh with the American people in my last post. At least nearly half of them made the right decision, and they are really sorry. Guess they should try even harder next time though.

Well, as it seems George Bush will be the American President for another four years. From an European point of view this is almost unbelievable. This man has brought so much problems over the world and his own country that it seems hard to understand that anyone would even consider voting for him once more. He lied to his country and the world more than once, there is not much success with his so called ‘War On Terrorism’, obviously Saddam was no serious thread and the Iraq war was not only unwarranted but seemingly completely unneccessary. The world was a much safer place before George Bush became president.
I think Joi Ito put it very well. Before this election one could assume that the Bush way was not the way of the American people. With this election they made a statement: Bush’s politics are actually what the majority of American people want. They have chosen him as their leader for another four years, and I think they have lost a lot of respect from the rest of the world. Not that Bush or his people would care though. They allready showed the world that they don’t care by completely ignoring the UN. Well, at least I am still able to voice my opinion. That is, until they decide to invade Germany and install a new government here too.
